In case you haven’t come across us before, let us introduce ourselves and the Bad Boys philosophy and tour concepts.
Bad Boys Birding was originally conceived by Wilf Banfield, Jonathan Barnard and Peter Brooks (the three Bs from whom the group gets its name) over a glass of fine Ribera del Duero one evening in the Coto Doñana in May 2004.
Bad Boys Birding, is birding by birders for birders. One of our main aims is to provide good value birding trips for small groups and we are unique among tour operators in that we have no employees and seek to run our trips as near to cost as possible.

To keep costs down we do not generally send out paper catalogues but our full trip list plus any individual itineraries are available in this format and we would be happy to print a copy and send it to you on request.

As well as placing a strong emphasis on good value we make no compromise on the birding as can be seen from our tour itineraries. We go to the top birding sites in the countries we visit and use the best local guides.
We run our trips in a relaxed friendly atmosphere, with small group numbers as this makes for better birding – typically we have only 6-8 participants on any trip plus a local guide, and this is why so many people, having travelled with us once, come back and do it again!
We are one of very few tour operators able to offer this unique mix of great value for money together with a small group size.
BBB is a small tour operator and typically we only run 6-8 tours each year, but apart from offering great birding with a friendly group of like-minded people we also give often very substantial savings over trips with the same itinerary run by bigger tour companies.
Although we organised the trips initially for ourselves, we now do so for a growing group of people with a common love of birds and all the wonders that Nature has to offer – so, become a Bad Boy (or Girl!) and join us on a trip.

Apart from showing forthcoming trips this site is about our various adventures with, of course, the emphasis on birding. It is not intended to be super professional, but just a place where members can share their trip reports, photographs and memories.
In the Gallery section we attempt to give you a visual flavour of some of the birds we have seen and the beautiful places we have visited. We welcome contributions from anyone who has travelled with us, so please contact Wilf or Jonny with any items you wish to add to the site.
